The 7000 square foot building and the innovative layout was designed by Dr. Morganroth  to enable Palo Alto Dermatology Institute to continue our legacy of state-of-the-art and innovative dermatology, dermatologic surgery and cosmetic surgery while introducing a new five-star level of hospitality. Patients are welcomed by staff dedicated to offering an unprecedented level of service including one-of-a-kind, complimentary beverage and food service.

Our first floor concierge reception desk offers parking assistance, handicap access assistance, skin care product sales and concierge service with comfortable seating and views of colorful annual plantings.

The 17 exam brightly lit rooms are distributed over two floors. The first floor rooms are allocated for cosmetic consultations and retail skin care products, aesthetician services, our acne laser program and medical dermatology. The second floor rooms are dedicated to medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology, dermatopathology, medical and cosmetic laser treatments and Mohs surgery.

Our largest waiting area is located on the second floor and is accessed by a glass staircase within a two story glass atrium or a stainless steel elevator.  The waiting space is bright and naturally lit by extensive glass and white porcelain walls, glass-lined hallways and clinic entry doors, large clerestory windows and skylights and concrete floors punctuated by colorful contemporary art.  Seating is reminiscent of a comfortable living room with leather sofas and velvet chairs facing the glass entry and a stone and walnut reception desk.  Three additional waiting areas in the building, including a weather dependent outdoor area, provide a variety of options for Mohs surgery patients.

The second floor centrally-located collaboration center is a 500 sq ft, glass-enclosed work space for our physicians, nurse practitioner, physician assistant, Mohs histotechnicians, and nursing staff to execute the collaborative care model unique to Palo Alto Dermatology Institute.  Designed to be similar to a sapphire exhibition caseback on a fine watch that allows the owner to view the watch’s internal mechanism, our glass enclosed collaboration center ensures our patients will see our Mohs surgeons, dermatologists, physician extenders, nurses, and Mohs histotechnicians collaborating in real time to provide the best care possible.

Unique to the Palo Alto and immediately surrounding dermatology community, our Medicare-certified Outpatient Surgery Center located on the first floor offers both local anesthesia and sedation options for skin surgeries, laser surgeries and cosmetic surgeries for maximal safety and infection control.

A 15 space parking lot with 8 additional valet spaces with outstanding handicap access including a large stainless steel elevator adjacent the entry lobby that opens directly in front of the second floor reception desk.
